Hello Foodies..!! Welcome to my kitchen..!! Today I have an amazing Navratri Special Plate for you all. It contains Varieties of food that you can eat in fast. So, this Navratri you don’t have to think what to eat.. If you are on nine days fast then try one dish every day. You will actually enjoy the fasts with the tasty dishes that “Navratri Special Plate” contains.

This Navratri give a try to the “Navratri Special Plate” and enjoy amazing foods in fast. So, without wasting time let’s start to make “Navratri Special Plate” recipes one by one..

1. SAGO / SABUDANA KHICHDI

INGREDIENTS:

  • Sago / Sabudana (Half Bowl)
  • Desi Ghee (Two Spoon)
  • Peanuts
  • Potatoes
  • Spices (Cumin Seeds, Rock Salt, Black Pepper Powder)
  • Green Chillies, Curry Leaves, Lemon, Coriander Leaves

RECIPE:

  1. Take half bowl of sago and soak them in water for two hours. Water should be of same level of sago while soaking otherwise they will get stick with each other.
  2. Keep a pan on gas and pour one spoon of ghee in it. Then, add peanuts in the pan and roast them. When they get roasted then take them out in a plate.
  3. Ghee will be left in the pan so add chopped potatoes and roast them as well. When they are roasted then take them out in a plate.
  4. Now, again pour one spoon of ghee in the pan and let it heat. Then, add cumin seeds, finely chopped green chillies and curry leaves.
  5. Roast them little then add soaked sago and mix them nicely and roast them little.
  6. Now, add fried peanuts and potatoes and mix them. Then add rock salt as per taste and black pepper powder. Mix all of them nicely.
  7. At last add coriander leaves and lemon juice. Mix them properly.
  8. Tasty Sago Khichdi is ready to serve.

NOTE: (If you don’t eat cumin seeds, curry leaves and coriander leaves in fast then skip them)

2. POTATO HALWA

INGREDIENTS:

  • Boiled Potatoes (Half Kg)
  • Desi Ghee (Half Bowl)
  • Sugar (Half Bowl)
  • Saffron Milk
  • Cardamom Powder
  • Dryfruits (Almonds, Cashew, Pistachio)

RECIPE:

  1. Take half kg of boiled potatoes and grate all of them.
  2. Keep a pan on gas and pour half bowl of ghee in it then add grated potatoes.
  3. Roast them nicely on medium flame. You will see it has changed it’s colour and ghee will get separate from the potatoes, that means potatoes are well roasted.
  4. Now, add half bowl of sugar in it and mix it nicely. After adding sugar halwa will become thin but in sometime it will get thick.
  5. Then, add saffron milk and mix it well. After that, add little cardamom powder and mix it.
  6. Now, add finely chopped cashew, almonds and pistachio. Mix all of them.
  7. Delicious Potato Halwa is ready to serve.

3. POTATO CHEELA

INGREDIENTS:

  • Raw Potato (One)
  • Green Chillies and Coriander Leaves
  • Black Pepper Powder and Rock Salt
  • Water Chestnut Flour (2-3 spoon)
  • Desi Ghee

RECIPE:

  1. Take one raw potato, peel it and then grate it.
  2. Now, add chopped green chillies, coriander leaves, black pepper powder and rock salt as per taste. Mix all of them nicely.
  3. Then add 2-3 spoon of water chestnut flour and mix it nicely. Our batter is ready to make cheela.
  4. Keep a pan on gas and grease it with ghee. Then, pour batter on the pan and spread it in round shape. Set it well and let it cook.
  5. Pour little oil at the corners and cook it by covering.
  6. When it starts to change it’s colour then turn it and cook from another side same way.
  7. When cheela is well cooked from both the sides then turn off the gas.
  8. Our crispy Potato cheela is ready to serve.

NOTE: (If you don’t eat coriander leaves in fast then skip it)

4. DRY POTATO VEGETABLE

INGREDIENTS:

  • Boiled Potatoes
  • Desi Ghee (One Spoon)
  • Cumin Seeds (One Spoon)
  • Green Chillies
  • Black Pepper Powder and Rock Salt

RECIPE:

  1. Take boiled potatoes and cut them in pieces.
  2. Keep a pan on gas and pour one spoon of ghee in it. When ghee is heated then add one spoon of cumin seeds and roast it little.
  3. Then, add boiled potato pieces and chopped green chillies. Roast them by stirring.
  4. Now, add rock salt and black pepper powder. Mix all of the nicely.
  5. Turn off the gas and garnish it with coriander leaves.
  6. Our tasty dry potato vegetable is ready to serve.

NOTE: (If you don’t eat cumin seeds and coriander leaves in fast then skip them)

5. MASALA FOX NUTS

INGREDIENTS:

  • Fox Nuts
  • Desi Ghee
  • Rock Salt
  • Black Pepper Powder

RECIPE:

  1. Keep a pan on gas and pour one spoon of ghee in it.
  2. Then, add fox nuts, black pepper powder and rock salt. Mix all of them nicely.
  3. Roast them and then turn off the gas.
  4. Masala Fox Nuts are ready to serve.

6. BANANA RAITA

INGREDIENTS:

  • Thick Curd
  • Powdered Sugar (2-2.5 spoon)
  • Glucose (One Spoon)
  • Banana
  • Milk (2-3 spoon)

RECIPE:

  1. Take a thick curd in bowl and give it a stir. Then add 2-3 spoon of milk in it. (Milk gives sweetness to the raita and if curd is sour then it will remove sourness)
  2. Churn it with the churner and add little water if it’s very thick and then churn it again.
  3. Now, add 2-2.5 spoon of powdered sugar and one spoon of glucose. Mix them nicely.
  4. Take bananas, peel them and cut them in pieces.
  5. Add banana pieces in the curd and mix them well.
  6. Our tasty banana raita is ready to serve.

7. BUCKWHEAT FLOUR PAKORE

INGREDIENTS:

  • Buckwheat Flour (One Bowl)
  • Green Chillies
  • Black Pepper Powder and Rock Salt
  • Raw Potatoes
  • Desi Ghee

RECIPE:

  1. Take one bowl of buckwheat flour in a big mixing bowl.
  2. Add chopped green chillies, rock salt and black pepper powder. Mix all of them nicely.
  3. Now, add water and make a batter of it as we make for gram flour pakore with the same consistency.
  4. Take raw potatoes, peel them and cut them in round slices.
  5. Add them in the batter and mix nicely.
  6. Keep a pan on gas containing ghee in it to heat. When ghee is heated then pour pakore in the oil.
  7. Cook them on low-medium flame so that they can get cook from inside as well and can become crispy as well.
  8. When they are well fried then take them out in a plate and on a napkin so that it can absorb extra ghee.
  9. Tasty and crispy buckwheat flour pakore are ready to serve.
